when i switch my av receiver on while i watch a film or programme on television, the output from the speakers is slightly out of sync with whats on the screen, i.e speech mainly. what could the problem be and possible solutions. please help its very annoying at the moment.

whats the receiver and is it on every source ? It should have audio delay function. Thats if you're hearing the words before you see the lips move

I have a feeling you may be out of luck, I take it you have checked all the options on the unit . Have you tried google for a manual ?
if one of the sources is skyhd, there is an option in the sky menus to delay the sound, there may be similar on anything else you are feeding it

have requested on line manual, and yes one is sky hd. will have a look at settings in the day.

thanks for the help john, much appreciated
