    Hi all,

I've just taken delivery if an Outlander Phev and so far so good.

The only minor issue at the moment is the charging cable is a bit too short to make it to the house. I know Mitsubishi recommend not to use an extension lead but from looking around on Google I can see lots are doing this but just making sure it's a decent quality 13A cable and ensuring it's fully unwound.

Does anyone have a Phev and use an extension lead? Just wondering what u think. Thanks.

Yes you can charge any EV using an extension cord. Just make sure the cord is rated at a full 13Amps and as you say fully unwound.

Thanks, I'm definitely considering that and will probably do it in the next couple of months, just need a short term solution that will keep me powered up. :)

Don't Mitsubishi sell their own extension leads? (at horrendous cost no doubt :))
