This is a picture of my two Boxer Dogs late in the evening on out daily walk on the Hoo Peninsular, Thames Side with Canvey Island in the Distance. Sorry I don't have ISO's etc but it was taken on my iPhone 5. 100% No alterations just good old fashioned in camera snap shot.

An imposing feel from the low perspective creates a sense that they're guarding their territory.
Rendering the dogs in almost silhouette by shooting into the light was a good choice. I like this.

I like this. The lighting gives it a threatening mood. At the same time, the eye is green with the light catching, giving it a kind of robotic dog from the future, programmed to kill.....(thats what i get anyway! :D)

A tighter crop for me though, put more focus on the dogs.

Interesting perspective and nice shot, but I agree with Doidy about the theme.

That's true. I interpret moody like the bit underlined in red, and as such judging the pics in this way. That's not to say I'm right, just how I view it ;)

I like this photo but do find the little green dot very distracting, it's a shame it couldn't have been cloned out. Otherwise a great shot, and just about fits the theme IMO.

Sorry you feel that way FallOutBoy but I see it like this, Photoshop is not for me, I have and always will love in camera photography. I know this will upset many people but they need to get over themselves. This photo is a basic Citreon C1 and Photoshop is a Ferrari 458, its just not fair comparing photos that have been shop'd and also taken with a £2k camera to a snap shot taken with a mobile phone whislt walking my dogs.

I wasn't comparing in the way you mentioned above, just pointing out how the bright dot detracts slightly from an otherwise pleasing photo. There's no need for professional image editing software like photoshop, I'm not a huge fan of overly-processed or 'fake-looking' images either but there are apps that can quickly clone out a little dot on a photo just fine.
