After finally deciding on these to go with a Onkyo 605 I can't find any Jamos in stock anywhere!

Prices range from £178 at Lamdatek to £249 at Amazon and AV Sales but none have in stock.

Anyone help and know of any stock? Looking for Black.

Thanks:)

I purchased mine from Lambda Tek, used their e-mail notification service but when informed they had stock tried to order and was told out of stock. I sent them an e-mail asking why I was informed of stock when ordering there was none and the e-mailed back within 5 minutes to inform me they did actually have stock and if I placed an order would be processed immediately. this was on Thursday 3 Jan. got my speakers on Saturday 5th.

It may be worth actually telephoning. But remember if you go with Lambda Tek there is a delivery charge, so I paid £186 in total. Its still better than any other company.

Good Luck

Thanks very much - I will give them a go.
Cheers for heads up on the delivery charge - didn't know about that!

Are you happy with the Jamos? Also did you get cables with the speakers - is it good enough or would you buy a substitute?

Thanks to all - will give Lamdatek a call tommorrow
Any views on cables/wire (I am new to this as you can tell!)

Which speaker wires am I going to need for these speakers please?

I got mine from Audiovisualonline who include a 15m stretch of flat cable, which seems alright. The sub cable is included in the Jamo box, wherever you get it from.

I bought some Speakerflex cable in a longer length though as 15m was pushing it.

I am awaiting some Jamos from Lambdatek expected this coming Monday.

I was going to go with the Hifi Speaker Cable from Maplin:
HiFi Speaker Cbl 20m order code: N17AP

Open to other suggestions though.

I think the cable of choice on these forums is the Van Damme speaker cable you can get here:

I might go for this instead as it's darker colour so will blend in with my carpet better.

Will I need any connectors at either end of the speaker cable?

Its easier with bananas on the amp end cuts down on chances of a stray wire causing a short, on the speaker end its bare wire only as the holes on the speaker clips are quite small.
Andy.

Right basically I've got this Amp

So the wires going into this will need these banana connectors you speak of.....

http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/...f/18/banana-plugs-spades-and-pins/browse.html

Which would be suitable from that lot.

Also can you see the black connection terminals under the red ones? What are they for?

Thanks for your help!

These are the plugs i use they go straight in the middle of the speaker connectors the red is the plus and the black the minus speaker terminals they will be the same on the speakers red and black just make sure you match each cable up black to black red to red.
Andy.

Brillant, thanks for you help mate!

Remember you dont need any banana plugs for the speakers there just spring clips with holes for bare wires.
Andy.
