Can someone please remind me of the date/time of the oscars.
Sunday night 23rd march, the build up will start around midnight, show will be around 2am (so effectively thats early early morning on the 24th here in the uk)
lets hope the bbc do not decide to switch channels half way through like they did last year
oh yeah, that really annoyed me, had to watch the last bunch of awards on the monday night repeat when I already knew the outcome.
If recording to VCR, would videoplus take care of any channel change or would VCR stop recording at the change?
Since they made the change on a whim last year, most likely Video+, TiVo, or Sky+ would not get the programming changes until it was too late. So, you'd be shafted like last year, AFAIK.
As already stated, Videoplus, et al, would NOT have noted the change of channels, as it was done at the last minute.
The good news, though, is that this year the Oscars will be on BBC1! After last year's error, the BBC didn't want to risk the same problems again. More than likely, they will schedule a kids cartoon or really naff film of some kind , directly after, so that it can be pulled if the ceremony over runs - which it almost definitely will do. Last years ran for almost 4.5 hours!
Looks like Auntie Beeb has done us proud!
