    As requested here is the original photo. you can see that the grain effect was a pleasing by-product of changing to the black and white one - I think it's caused by the water surface to be honest. It's been cropped down to 800x600 as well.

    Love both shots John but the B/W definatley takes it for me.
    Here's the colour version of mine.

    i feel left out, heres a black and white picture of mine, just didnt have as much impact as the colour one

    and johnG - black and white is so much better :D

    i found that it makes the picture too dull, if there was a good contrast between the background and the rose it would have worked, which is a shame really :/
