    Hi there,

I'm just going through my boxes having moved house and have come across my original Arcam Alpha CD player. Anyone have any ideas what it's worth now ? It's the original one that says Manufactured by A&R Cambridge on it ?

    Thanks,
    Roy.

Not megabucks, as far as I can tell.

They crop up on ebay fairly regularly, here for example.

It's worth checking some recently completed sales on Ebay to get a feel for the price you'll acheive - often a late flurry of bids come in.

You may get more for it than you think, especially if it comes with original packaging, manuals, is one owner and is in good condition. I recently sold a 14 year old Rotel CD player (in mint condition) on Ebay. Paid £190 for it new and sold it for £58! The bidding was at £10 with 30 minutes to go and at £30 with two minutes to go.

I bought one on Saturday at a market for £2.50 (no manula or remote though) - original price in 1989 was £419.99 !!!!
