    Hey everyone,

I am in the Republic of Ireland and looking at getting a Pioneer DCS-222.

I am trying to find an online retailer who has this in stock, at a good price (up to £270/€400 including delivery) and will deliver to Ireland.

I would be equally happy with the older version the DCS-313.

Has anyone experience of buying into Ireland?

    Thanks,

    Wheels

    Wheels,
    Do NOT buy a Pioneer 313 !!
The fan noise that it makes will drive you crazy and make you want to throw it out the window!!
It will only work without noise for about an hour and a half.
    repeat:Stay away from it!
    regards
    Denis.

Best bet, is to find a retailer in the UK, and get a cheap ryanair flight over, collect, and fly back, all in the same day. I did this recently with my Arcam dvd player.

The advantages? Don't have to pay stupid delivery charges in excess of £50, no waiting in for a delivery that may take 6 days, can get is tested in the uk before you fly it home and it'll generally be cheaper in the uk.

Thanks guys. I ended up buying the 515 from Richersounds. I'm very happy with everything BUT...

I am not thrilled (YET) by the single rear speaker... Maybe it's just the placement? But for me it gives good surround sound only to the person directly in front of it... off to one side the sound seems to come directly from it, rather than from the walls as promised.

Has anyone got the 515 and know how to get a full surround sound for all viewers?

    i BOUGHT A pioneer DCS 515,from richersounds.

Picture is destroyed on the player,i think it's because of the multimod upgrade, they made.

My tv works perfectly with another dvd player, multiregion based.
It is fecked up,with this dvd player.
