Just checked out lecktropacks for a 10m scart cable and scart splitter. The P&P was stg£30 bringing the total to approx stg£120. ie €165. Is this excessive or par for the course. Can anyone recommend any other suppliers of cables, switchboxes etc.

www.cpc.co.uk have a range of cheap->midrange S-video/Component/Composite and scart cables, may be worth having a look there. £5 delivery if you don't have an account.

for simple cheap scart switches cables etc try http://www.ardelectronics.com/ I find the online site a bit tricky unless you know what you want. Its not top HIFI AV quality suff but there are some cheap things on there. For cables I usually just buy some off the reel from Maplins and terminate myself.

I see beyond hifi do the quintro+/trilogy1 for €76(approx stg£55) whereas lectropacks are doing it for €137(approx stg£99)!!!
I also noticed in the Trilogy1/quintro+ specs:

    Loop-through, switching and distribution.
Microprocessor controlled two independant video inputs to TV and VCR outputs.
Auto switching with Euro-scart and RCA inputs.
Auto detection and switching to the second video when the first video switched off.
Auto detection and switching to TV when all video inputs are switched off.
Switching protection on the second video with LOCK function.
Video and Audio direct from SAT and VCR scarts to LD scart from decoder.
RGB and S-Video switching from SAT, LD, DVD and VCR scarts to TV scarts.
First and second videos selectable on TV2.
Can also be used to get five outputs from one input.

If I'm reading this correctly, especially the last 3 lines does this mean that it will do 4 rgb inputs to 2 rgb outputs which would mean that I don't need the splitter mentioned in my first post.

See I need to take 4 RGB inputs(PS2,GC,NTL,DVD) and output them to my AE300(in a few days!) and to a portable tv which I will be using as a monitor(to help save on bulb hours) I also need audio out to go to the amp. Will the Trilogy1/quintro+ meet my requirements??

    Calibos,
This pains me to say but what about Peats in Dublin? (www.peats.com). I worked there for over 7 years and can claim part responsible for their range of AV cables & accessories. Prices are reasonable and they deliver via SDS. If you ask for Des and tell him you're a relative of Mark Hyland he will look after ya. Why does it pain me to recommend them? - they duped me out of a LOT of money that was owed - I made the mistake of being honest and tellin them I was moving abroad, so I quit.
