I had my heart set on a Samsung LE32R41BDX, however I have just noticed the Toshiba 32WL56P for similar money. I would prefer the Samsung in a way as it has component, but on the flip side the Toshiba had 2 x rgb scart.

Which LCD would you go for and why?

    Thanks, Andrew.

I ordered the Samsung last wednesday from savastore and it arrived today(cheaper than empire with delivery too)

Is it really that stretched at the online retailers?

Have looked more into it and you are correct, the Tosh only has 1 rgb. www.homecinematv.co.uk quote it as having 2, but I just checked the Toshiba website and it has the one.

Based on that it looks like i'll be ordering the Samsung. I have to admit I did slightly prefer the picture on the Toshiba in the shop, but I never can tell whether that's down to how its set up.

I'm going to be having some serious words with DigiUK tomorrow.

I rang them up this morning, to be told they had stock of the tv
I also rang them up straight after making my order to be told that they had stock and delivery would be tomorrow morning by Citylink
Their website homepage also states them currently having stock of the tv.

Yet I get an e-mail at 5:29 pm (1 minute before they close so no chance of ringing them back) to be told they have no stock and it will arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Looks like i'll be having a pretty big rant first thing tomorrow morning.

I'm told they'll be receiving delivery of the 26 inchers either tomorrow (Wednesday) or Friday. They'd better not be lying to me!

    Good choice on the Samsung.

Despite all the warnings on the forum, I ordered one from Digiuk myself. Really happy with it - excellent pic, especially with upscaled sources. No tearing that I have seen, so maybe I have been lucky with the firmware.

On Digiuk, I found their service to be excellent. When I ordered my TV, they had just had a delivery in the early afternoon of 60+ sets. My order was processed at 3.30pm, I was told that I had got the last but one set! These TVs seem to be flying off the shelves, and rightly too given the performance to cost ratio. Sadly, Digiuk only allocate stock when the order is processed, so that would explain why the order missed the shipment. Cold comfort, I know, but the TV will be worth waiting for!

The 29th September is a Thursday. I got that same date in an email when I ordered my 26 and after questioning it, I was told they meant Monday 29th August (i.e. 2 days ago).

    Hmm.

    Same here :D

DigiUK had a delivery of 40 of the 32" versions with the digital tuner at around lunchtime today (Wednesday). 26 had been pre-allocated to customers, the remaining 14 are stock. I transferred my order to the BDX (the one I wanted originally anyway), and have been assured it will come tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed!

My dvd player arrived from them this morning, but looked like the box had been floated over to the UK and was soaking wet. The driver told me not to accept it so it must have been bad!

I rang DigiUK this morning (Thursday) around 11am, first to report DVD dampness and to check on LE32 stock. I was told they had none in and weren't getting any until mid to late Sept. I've got the 32" BDX on order with them.

Rang again just now 13:00, sales person didn't go and check but said they are out of stock of both B and BDX models. Due in end of Sept.

Will be interested to see if you get yours tomorrow. Good luck!

    Cheers
    B.

Cheers for the good luck wish.

Looks like it paid off, as I now have a 32" LCD sat in the corner of my room :D
