Ordered Sky+, query

I order an upgrade to Sky+ this afternoon(tried my best to get a deal, but they wouldn't have it).

Guy on the phone read out the terms and conditions, and I questioned why I had to have a phone line fitted for 12 months.

It would seem that I have to have the phone line connected, but I don'y have a phone line near my television. If I just run a cable through the house(which I use when I get PPV sports), will the engineer be hapy with that? so i can just disconnect it when the callback is done.

Yes, If you have a landline in the house all you need to do is get an extension cable and plug in the sky + box while the engineer is there and then when all your features are up and running disconnect it.
If sky say its not connected just reconnect it for a while, you usually get a couple of warnings. But if you read on other threads that only seems to apply for multiroom where they check up.
