Orange M600 debrand question

I have the orange m500 at the moment and was thinking of getting the new m600. After looking at one in the shop I saw that it has some sort of orange branding on it, I mean those stupid little icons on the left for email contact etc.
I find this so annoying as it makes a very descent pda into a stupid little phone, why they did this is beyond me.

Basicly what I want to do is take these icons off so I can have old still pda back. Does any body know how to do this?

Any help would be great.

I have hte orange 600 and just reset everything to windows default theme ?

sorry to sound a bit stupid but do you mean change the skin? if not then could you elaborate for me.

no worrys...not entirely clear on your question but the default theme (as in windows theme) for the 600 is an Orange designed on. I reset that to the Windows 2005 default so it looks like any normal windows mobile.

If you did not know, HTC Prohpet = Orange M600 = Imate JamIn and no doubt a host of others.

Ok i'm not sure that was was to clear my self. if you look at a picture on the net of a 600 it shows icons on the left (see piture attached). these are what i would like to remove.
are you saying that if i go to setting/today/theme and change it to the windows default theme these icons / buttons will be removed.

should work yes.
or perhaps you need to install a new rom from another manafacturer.

anyways the best advice i can give u is go to "xda developers.com"
youl learn so much about what you can do to ur pda there its untrue

All you have to do is go to the today screen and deselect the orange theme and selct the windows default theme instead.

That's all it is, a theme, so not sure what you're talking about when you say the theme turns the pda into a phone.

Although after you have used it, you will probably want to reinstate it as the Orange theme makes operating the pda a lot simpler and quicker.

It's not really branding either - it's a plug-in. A lot of people would quite happily spend a few pounds the functianlity that the theme provides.
