The new Orange advert where they concentrate on power cuts has some really good music behind it, does anyone have any idea who the artist is??

"This Side of the Blue" to be precise. "The Milk-Eyed Mender" is fairly interesting album, but I can only listen to it in small doses - that 'little girl on helium' voice and plinky-plinky harp gets a tad irritating after a while.

    Still worth a listen though.

I like that. Sounds a bit like Natalie Merchant/10,000 Maniacs - and that's no bad thing.

Funny you should mention Natalie Merchant - my favourite female singer. She has a new CD out soon by the way. Karen Peris sings backing vocals on a couple of the tracks on Natalie's "Ophelia" album.

If you like this sort of music, take a look at this recent thread over at Digital Spy for more recommendations (including mine).
