WOULD ALSO CONSIDER A SWAP WITH A GOOD ANDROID PHONE, PIXEL 3, PIXEL 3A ETC........GOOD CAMERA AND BATTERY ESSENTIAL.

Hi All, I have a gaming laptop, but sadly, no time for gaming, so it's just turned into a bigger, heavier device than I need. Was hoping to trade for something smaller or sell and buy something smaller.

The laptop in question is a Asus ZX553VD-DM640T (details here) and (here) it's all in good order, everything works as it should, it comes with Windows 10 Home installed, a 120Gb SSD drive and a 1Tb HDD, with 8Gb or RAM and a Intel HD630 card (for desktop) and a GeForce GTX1050 4Gb for gaming.

Processor wise we have a Intel i5-7300 CPU which runs at 2.5GHz, more than enough for the games I've played.

Trade wise, I'm after something small and light, thinking a Microsoft Surface GO or similar small laptop/tablet with keyboard....Windows only please

Just putting it out there too see if anyone would be up for a trade or if I'm better off selling and buying new.

I'll get some pictures of the device up tonight, but it's as it appears on the website above.

    Cheers,

    Rich

Hi Ed, that could be the perfect device for me size wise though I must admit I wouldn't ever need the 200Gb card with it, so with that in mind, could you stick up some pics, price and details.

    Many thanks,

    Rich

    Hi Rich,

Here are some photos as requested. It's in great condition with very minor usage marks if you look closely enough. Out of warranty now and I don't have a box for it. Has the latest windows 10 updates applied and battery life is still very good. I'm able to get 6+ hours off it with no power attached. It's been lightly used overall since I've owned it.

I'm valuing this at around the £400 mark.

Could meet you halfway between Stockton/Newcastle possibly if you want to inspect it prior to exchange at a suitable date/time/location.

Hi Ed, afraid I wouldn't be able to stretch to £400 for the M3 model as the i5 goes for not much more and places like CEX are selling for less with warranty. Any flex or cash added?

    Cheers,

    Rich

Using CEX as the example a Class B M3 tablet only goes for £300, the keyboard is an additional £35.

I can't get let it go that cheaply then. There isn't much performance difference between i5 and the core m3. Advantage on m3 is better battery life, quietness and reliability. Guess it depends what you plan to use it for in the end.

The M3 would be totally fine for me as it's just basic surfing etc that I'm after so the gaming PC is HUGE overkill. Sadly, I think price wise we're a million miles apart. hope you get a buyer soon, the Surface Pro 4 does look great.

    Cheers,

    Rich

No Problem Rich. Just can't quite stretch to £100 or so to exchange. Good luck at your end too!

If you do have a rummage and find some tech etc that you'd like to pitch in, I'd love to trade.

    Have a think, fingers crossed.

Cheers and all the very best,

    Rich

Hi again Ginger, been having a think and think I'm going to pass. The reason for my downgrading is because I no longer need a hefty spec machine, I'm literally surfing, emails and watching the occasional Netflix, so an i7 would again be wasted on me.

Watched a ton of reviews last night and it looks like a lovely machine though.

    Cheers,

    Rich
