Hi, I'm struggling to find any up to date info on these projectors as they came out a while ago and wondered if they were still up there for their price or if the're are now better ones around? I've chose these as they are easily available in the UK and roughly the same price and spec but correct me if I'm wrong or missed any others.

My budget is really no more than £800-900 and I have a dedicated cinema room with no natural light so brightness is not an issue. Screen size 120-130" sitting around 4m away.

I assume as the room will be pitch black then I need the one with the best blacks and contrast? I'd also like it quiet (As it will be right above my head) and still decent for the odd bit of gaming.

Any help appreciated

These are 3 very similar projectors - they are all based on the same chipset and have very similar strengths and weaknesses. I own a ViewSonic PX747 4k - which is the slightly brighter/worse colours than the 727. It's not particularly quiet and the blacks/contrast are not ideal for a fully blacked out room. Unfortunately as of today, there's no real good answer at this price point. You may in fact be better looking at the Epson 1080p projectors at this budget for better contrast. Other thought is that there is a lot of talk about the next gen of the Texas instruments "4Kish" chipset and early signs suggest it is much improved. Of course you'll be waiting a while until models are out and even longer until they are down to your budget.
