Both are great PJ's I would suggest a demo of both to see which you think is the best as different people have different perspectives.

We'll let's start with a few basics. What will the main sources be? What size screen do you require and how far back can you position the PJ?

I trust my eyes and I know any rainbow effect is there. But is optoma having this problem and what is the difference between optima HD 25 and 25 lv? If u prefer hd25 shall I go with hd25 lv?

I don't know, I haven't seen the room you are setting up in so all I can do is advise. You have to make the final choice but I really recommend a demo.

From an optoma product point of view I believe that the hd30b is supposed to be a step up in picture quality from a slightly higher budget................if you wanted to stick to this manufacturer.
