    Hi

I have a problem with my projector shutting down with a fan locked message. On investigation through the service menu it appears that the fan voltage is being decreased until the fan cuts out. It seems to be decreasing the voltage because the fan RPM is being reported as around 4000rpm. This does not decrease as the voltage reduces. I believe the rpm should be about 3000. If I slightly obstruct the fan, the reported rpm drops and the voltage increases.

I'm not really sure what could be causing this issue. The fans max rpm is listed as 3200 so could the fan be mis-reporting the rpm? Why does the fan not slow down as the voltage decreases?

    Any help would be appreciated.
