Big screen 3D on a budget The new HD25 is the latest addition to Optomas range of DLP home cinema projectors. The Optoma HD25 is a big screen all-in-one solution, offering a Full HD resolution with integrated Full 3D technology and built-in speakers, eliminating the need for external audio or adapters. Well, arguably but we'll reserve judgement until we've tested one. Utilising their latest DLP technology, Optoma claims 2000 lumens brightness and 20,000:1 contrast ratio and they say the new Dynamic Black technology adjusts lamp output automatically ensuring deeper blacks for exceptional shadow detail in dark scenes, while bright scenes are crisp and clear. Again, the proof of the pudding... The HD25 features direct support for Blu-ray 3D players, 3D broadcast signals like Sky3D and 3D games from the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 and Optoma says you can even project up to a 300 image to create an extra-large screen that will fill your peripheral vision, creating a true home cinema environment.
