Went in to their Camberley store today and they have around 3-4 of these in stock, they are giving me a demo of it tomorrow afternoon at 1pm if anyone wants to see it running and is in the area! they also said I could take my 360 & HD DVD-Drive with me as they dont have one to test :smashin:

Screen is manual as you would have guessed but it will get me by until I buy an electric one in the next few months.

Now just need a ceiling mount......ebay???

Looks as if the credit card is gooing to get a bashing again! :rotfl:

try and get a proper mount blicky, you don't want have what happened with mine.
Optoma normally have weird screw sizes that you get with their own mounts.
so if like me i got a cheapo universal for £30 from e-bay and the screw size that i used was 0.5 mm to thick which unfortunately because its was a thin screw in the 1st place it snapped off easily.
had to drill them out in the end.
I know a lot of people like this one.

Will you be posting photos of this project !
I'm quite excited about you getting one !

    Chaddy: -

Do you think I should go for this deal with the screen for £749 (to be able to deal/demo/pick up locally tomorrow) or get the one from avprojectorlamps for £15 less (with the £10 lamp voucher & ceiling mount, the included 5m HDMI would need to be upgraded to a 10m anyway)

As you know I will want an electric screen for the room when re-development starts next month.....but I guess I could use the screen for now and then sell it on later....to pay for the mount?? :smashin:

Help can't make my mind up!!! :lease:

    Pic's of re-development to follow......hopefully! :D

i would get it demoed thats for certain.
Remember you can always walk out out of the place without your credit card unharmed.
And then buy it online and get the electric screen with it.
But i'm sure getting it there and then and getting a free screen with it is a deal to good to miss.
and i'm sure there will be someone who will want the screen after.
I would get it 2moz if its good.

Hmmmm but when it's in front of you what would you do, get it tomorrow or wait until Mon/Tue :rotfl:

Also if I wait I would have to project onto the wifes tablecloth for a month or so until I was sure of screen size/housings and she won't let me eat at the table without it so I would have to go hungry for a while!! :rotfl: :rotfl: or buy her a new tablecloth!

    hmmmmmmmmm
I still would get it 2moz.
Like i said you could leave without the credit card harmed, but thats like a crack addict with 15years behind him giving up after 1 day. IT JUST AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.

Yea I did see this one but I would not give Dixons my money ever again even if they were the last retailer in the world

Also only available online not in store. Was not up for the idea of ordering something I have never seen before/demo'd either...:suicide:

Just had a look at this projector in the Brighton Audio-T. Just walked in and they demo'd it for me. It looked very good and the staff were very helpfull. I am just trying to figure out how to best place the PJ in spare room before I buy it.

Bit of a nightmare trying to fit it all in around furniture, lights, power source, seating etc :)
