Optoma EX542 - Anyone know what this is or how to repair it?, is is dust spots?

I bought a second hand Optoma EX542 projector recently, this problem was mentioned in the listing by the seller. I decided to buy it as a gamble to see if i could fix it. I have cleaned the outside of the lens and as much as i could on the inside but to no avail.

Anyone know what the spots are or how i can get rid of them?

It is probably stuck mirrors and will cost more than the projector is worth to fix.

I doubt if you can, I would think a return to Optoma for repair is the only option but the cost will probably be uneconomical.
