What sized images have u peeps got a Sony 10HT throwing.

I'm toying with the idea of buying a 9' 6" 16:9 screen. Would this be too big for my projector?

Its up at £1500 so I don't really wanna buy it if the pj won't do it justice

any help would be v much appreciated:)

I use a 9 feet 16:9 screen at a viewing distance of 16 feet so at a ratio of 2:1 if measuring length of screen e.g 8 feet. Even at this ratio you need a high quality source for the projector, I run a HCPC as I wasn't impressed with the image from my Sony DVP-S7700.

Thats the other thing I forgot to take into account, I can't put my projector more than about 12-13' away from the screen.

I guess that is going to mean the 9'6" screen is too big.

Is there a way to alter the throw distance. I know some people have mentioned putting long throw lenses on Sony's, I wonder if there is a way to shorten the lens even further?
