This noob would love some help getting the most out of his equipment.

Here's what I have:

46" Samsung 60Hz 1080p HDTV LN46D550
Motorola RNG-200N Cable HD DVR Box (Comcast XFinity)
Pioneer VSX-1022 Receiver
Playstation 3
Apple TV (2013)
JBL Control One Front Speakers
Polk CS10 Center Channel Speaker
Polk PS10 Powered Subwoofer

Currently, I have the DVR, PS3 and ATV going to the receiver by HDMI inputs and a single HDMI output to the Samsung. I have the JBLs by speaker wire to the fronts on the receiver. I have the center by speaker wire to the center on the receiver. I have the sub by a sub cable pre-out connected to the receiver to the left on the sub.

I'm having trouble getting sound out of all speakers and finding the right receiver settings to maximize my equipment. I have run the MCACC, and sound came out of each of the speakers, so I know they are properly connected.

Hi.
Get yourself a pair of surrounds, and maybe a pair of rears or high fronts, then try out all the listening modes on the amplifier.
