Can someone answer this for me?

I purchased an optical mouse for the kids computer that also has flashing lights inside it as well (classy I know!). How come it flashes away even when the computer is switched off, but pull it out of the ps2 connector and it stops.

Is it bypassing the computer power somehow and drawing the eleccy straight from the mains? The kids cant get to sleep at night without thinking they are down the local night club!!!!:rotfl:

Most ATX motherboards will supply power to the USB and PS2 connectors even when "off" for the wake using keyboard / mouse functions. There may be a setting in the BIOS to turn it off
