Optical delay - BBC hd

I have set up my delay for optical and it seems to be working fine.

However, having watched Heroes and the footy tonight on BBC HD the sound is way out.

I have not checked other HD channels but is this problem specific to BBC HD or all HD channels.

Also, is there any quick fix other than changing the delay each time I watch BBC HD.

Thanks

there is no sound delay problem on my kit.
everything is in synch.
suggest you reset the delay back to default before switching it off for the night and startup tommorow.

I get varied delay on HD programs. You can reset the box but likely you will just have to adjust the delay according to the program. T

One of these boxes allows you to change the ms delay as small as one third of a ms a time! and all on the fly!

But you need to be using your optical out from your HD box and into your TV or AMP. The Felston box sits in between adding your chosen delay.

I think i'm going to get one cos i seem to spot the differing delays all the time. Plus i've got a HTPC which has different delays too.... and the felston box can have 2 inputs with independant settings!! :smashin:

The Sky HD box has a built in delay function for lip syn issues. Got to SERVICES then SOUND SERVICES and scroll down to the delay function.

thanks
also just increased the volume

just had it installed yesterday

I've had to change my delay 3 times since I've had Sky HD (got it in feburary I think) First it was 20ms and perfect for months, then 100ms and happy for months, and I've just had to set it to 60ms. Its very weird.

Mine is like that and I can alter it via both my Sky box and my amp. I like to set things up and then leave them, so unless the lip sync is very bad, I tend to put up with it.
