Newby question but I can't find the answer in the FAQ's.

If I coneect my DVD to my Amp using the optical in & out should I get sound or do I also need to coneect using a twin pho connection as well?

When I conneted with just the optiacl lead nothing but as soon as I connected with the phon's as well the sound came on.
I have checked that the amp's set up for the digital connection and it does sound better than just my phono connection into my Digibox but I want to make sure,

    Cheers in advance.

    Hi

You should get sound from the Optical, you dont need to have it connected via phono leads as you´ll only get an analogue signal. Check you have the digital output of the dvd player set to Bitstream.

    cheers
