Optical Cables and optical splitters any recomendations

Currently i have a yamaha amp with 2 optical inputs. I have 4 devices that output optical. Are optical splitters any good and if so which ones. Also what are the best value cables to get.

I use this and it's works fine. Does the job although it's a bit ugly.
