    OK confused

Going to connect SKY+ box to Sony DAVC system through optical - what do I need - have seen TOS Link optical cables which are cheaper than optical cables I have been seeing.

    What's the difference?

Also - what are Hama Pro-Class Cables like - has anyone heard of them (I'm new to this!!!)

    Thanks in advance.

    Andrew.

They are both the same thing as far as I am aware. There is only one standard cable for all optical cables. No idea what the hama cable is like I`m afraid

TOSlink is the square connector on the end of an optical cable. There is also a round jack type connector (can't remember the name though!) that is used on small devices such as portable minidisc players etc.
Optical cables do come in different qualities and lengths and therefore the cost can vary by a large amount.
