Well, I know it's possible as I have just spent ages with an extractor BUT, although it extracted the audio, it needed the TV to be "on" for it to allow the extraction. Let me explain. I want to extract the audio from the HDMI running from my Raspberry Pi to my TV as currently, the only way to get the digital audio into my DAC/HiFi is on the return optical output from the TV. This means that the TV has to be "on" all the time.
Setup is:
Pi -- ----HDMI-----TV ----Opt------ DAC/Amp
I need:
Pi -----HDMI------Extractor (Opt audio out and HDMI pass-through) ----HDMI---------- TV
This would allow me to turn the TV “off” while listening to audio.Ii would also needto keep the HDMI pass-through for viewing video.
Any ideas?
Thanks
