thinking of downgrading my HC, to just use my stereo amp for tv xbox duties etc. the only problem is my freeview box only has a optical out and i only have a optical cable for the xbox, can i convert these into rca type connections to feed into the stereo amp?

    thanks

Probably the easiest way to get analogue sound from your Freeview box would be to put a scart switch box in between TV & STB or VCR & STB and take a phono pair from that to the amp.
