Oppo BDT-101CI (Network Capable HD Disc Player)

For anyone on the hunt for a no-nonsense high-def (not UHD) multi-format disc player with networking capabilities, Oppo Digital have released the BDT-101CI: -

UK/EU people look here: OPPO BDT-101CI | OPPO Digital UK
North America look here: OPPO BDP-101CI Blu-ray Disc Player

The player can be fitted with customised 'modules' that offer features such as: 7.1 channel analogue audio, a HDBaseT output and a second HDMI output.

Prices depend on the level of customisation undertaken for each player. And is costed by Oppo vendors.

Anyway, see what you think ;)

When I clicked on the thread I thought it might be about a new 4K player but not to be :)

What's the asking price for this model?
with many features stripped off, i doubt it's cheaper
Seems like Peter Tyson is selling them.

At the time of writing, the base unit is £360.00 (so it is cheaper than a BDP-103EU). With '7.1 analogue audio' and 'secondary HDMI' output mods the price rises to £493.00 (still cheaper). Sufficed to say, the 'HDBaseT' output module (for long cable runs) raises the price even more.

What I find interesting is the optional HDBaseT module; it's something I've always wanted to see built-in to AV equipment.
