Hi, This is my first post on these forums..so go easy :D

My current set up is :-
    Philips 28" Widescreen DVB
Panasonic SC HT70 DVD all in one

Ive just ordered these from Richersounds, What do ya think?

    Toshiba SD220E
Eltax Hollywood MKII (5 Pack) Speakers
    Panasonic SAHE7 Amp

Will I see a vast improvement (although the all in one was pretty good..to a non audiophile like myself)?

I have no idea about the other bits you have ordered but I was mighty impressed with the Eltax Hollywood set I bought. Not at all bad for £150.

They do improve after a few hours of use which I was suprised about, because I thought that was all talk.

Also, the fronts do not come with floor spikes so you might want to invest in some as they make a good difference to the sound.

    Cheers

    Ian

I am a little wary of the floorstanders (10 month old twin daughters get everywhere!!)...What about a Sub?
    any suggestions?

As I have now sold my Panasonic All in one..I wont have a Sub to go with the Hollwoods...Is it worth getting a cheap sub (I.E. Eltax to go with the Hollywoods)? Or will the big woofers at the base of the floorstanders be ample?

The Eltax Hollywood have a subwoofer built into the base of the floorstanders. Not as good as a separate sub obviously but it should still be pretty good.

I bought the Tosh SD220 as my entry DVD. It delivers good picture and sound, first to my old Sony 50Hz and now to my brand new Tosh 32ZD26.

so I'm sure it will please you muchly ....

    :D

Thanx guys:D Think I'll get a Sub in the January sales
Anyone used that amp before? Im told by richers that its DD and DTS but the panny site just says DD! Also any recommendations on speaker cable (price and where to purchase)?
Just cheap stuff for now..will need about 25m I reckon
Also is it worth getting Spikes for the front?

One more thing, do the Hollywoods come with speaker covers? Dont want my sprogs poking my nice new speakers!!
