Looking to replace my old Sony DVP-S735D and wondered if the above we any good?

Or did Sony have a natural replacment for the 753D?

    The DVPLS755PS says it has
"Precision Drive 3 Mechanism for fast, stable and accurate playback"
This just a gimic or somethign useful.

    Cheers for info guys :smashin:

sony make very good players nothing wrong with them models, seem spec wise on par with anything in there price range. It's only rival is the denon 1710. I use to own a sony ns930 very good player until it got replaced by a denon 2900.

The 785 does SACD the 755 does not have the extra chips on board.

The 955 model has divX playback though its around the £200 mark and likely to be an evolved 930 model electronically.

785 also has DivX and Xvid.......DivX is good on it, but Xvid is a real pain in the arse, so I haven't had much of a play with it. Great DVD player though.

Yeah, I got the dvpsl785v multiregion for ~£115 a few months back down Edgware Road. So far it's been great (apart from being a pain in the ass with Xvid). It's played everything I've tried on it with no problems......having said that I don't know what are meant to be problem discs? If you know of any that are notorious then let me know and I'll give it a try.
