Whats this telly like, it for my parents so im sure they wont bother checking the quality of it or the looks from different sources....they were also interested in one of those £600 32" Samsung's, how does this compare to them and anywhere where i can find a review?
Hope you don't mind a post from a noob but here goes (I'm good with tech stuff so don't worry)
I got my Hitachi last night from Tesco (£600 nice!)
I was messing with it all night and its very good. My mother has the 32" Samsung (Black Gloss one) and the Hitachi seems its equal (In all but looks). Its not an ugly TV but its like trying to compare your pretty girlfriend with Rachel Stevens (its just not going to happen)
IMO the Hitachi has better on board sound...the Samsung is pretty bad at that (if you don't use a separate sound system)
I know you said you weren't worried about the inputs and stuff but for completeness I've played by PS3 (Games and some Blueray film demos) on it via the HDMI and the picture was out of this world.
When you add in that it comes with the wall mounting unit I'd say its one of the best TV's for its price. I say go for the Hitachi
