Does anyone have any opinion on how good the Evesham Ebox is.

    Available here http://www.evesham.com/PCs/Info.asp?e=9AD4E927-9792-4CEB-9AAF-88C05721470C

    Specs are :
    Intel P4 2.8
XP Media Center Edition inc remote control & digital or analogue TV tuner
    512MB PC3200 Ram
    DVD/CD-RW/DVD-RW
    ATI Radeon 9100 IGP
MS Cordless Keyboard and Optical Tilt Mouse

How easily can this be multi-regioned?

Does it have a Scart socket and audio optical out?

Reasons for asking is that I've got a special deal from my employer where I could get one for £673.20 rather than the list price of £1202.34.

For the price that you can get it for,it's not a bad deal, but I'm sure you can do better by looking around, and the other point worth considering is the apparent lack of expandability or upgrading possible on that machine.

Another thing is the onboard graphics solution, which is quite a low spec item.

You can get quicker, better spec'd machines for less, and by spending a bit more, and looking at something like a UVEM HCPC,you'll get something well worth the money, and expandable also.
On the latter issue,I'm biassed, having bought one last year, and been very pleased with it.

Looks reasonable - I would consider if I didn't already have one :)

Only thing I would consider changing would be to have a digital tuner card rather than the - i assume - analogue one.
That does ofcourse depend on whether you have digital reception or not....

ho hum - just spotted digital is an option...

Would also check system future expansion options - if there are any - for wireless networking etc

    HTH
