It isn't looking good for our Sven.

4-5-1. What was he thinking? It wasn't as if we were against a side where we would need such a defensively minded formation.

If he did want to change things a bit, then 3-5-2 would have played much more to our strengths.

Still, it is the first ever qualifying game that we've lost under Sven.

Thought it was a stroke of tactical genius to play Rooney on the left and our best crosser of the ball in front of the back four. I can't tell you how delighted I was when Joe Cole was brought on the right and Gerrard played left in the second half.....as for when Mr Inspiration, Owen Hargreaves was brought on.....

I take it Sven could only be postioning himself for the job as next N Ireland manager, not that he's got a chance of that. Maybe San Marino are looking to hire, or the Papua New Guinean Curling team??

Well done Northern Ireland (nice to see a couple of Bham City players doing well!)

Bad, bad day for English Football, right another glass of Talisker before bed....:(

You would have thought that, of all managers, Sven could have inspired his team to score away from home
