only getting black and white via scart - colour via svideo?

    from my pio DVD to 2 sony TVs (2 different cables both give the same)

    getting B&W from svideo - Scart and colour svideo to svideo

    doesnt matter PAL or NTSC....

    Help

    Switch scart output to svhs.

    and wheres this wonderful option.... on the DVD or the TV ?

    i am useing svideo out btw :)

    You come across slighty off fella,check the dvd menu for scart output.It may give the option of RGB output or SVHS.You have tried 2 tv's with same results.

    sorry if you feel that i come across slightly off ;)

    no option for scart on the pio DVD menus its only composite and svideo out..

    any other ideas anyone?

    S.video is a signal format not just a socket shape.

    If you are using a s.video to Scart cable you have to make sure the scart socket you are connecting it to can accept an s.video signal otherwise you will get a B&W picture.
