Do you think thats its better to order an expensive LCD TV from an internet supplier, in order to get protection from the distance selling regulations (allowing you to return a set within 7 days) therefore allowing you to check for dead pixels?

Are there any retailers that have a dead pixel guarantee?

I doubt you'll get a retailer that will cover against any dead pixels since the manufacturer sets their own tolerances.

If you sit two inches from the screen you might notice a dead pixel but not from regular viewing distances.

Dont forget that under the distance selling rule the retailer can charge for collecting the item if you cannot return it to them yourself.
