Does anyone know which one will be better used just as a processor?

I have the onkyo at the moment and I have seen the denons sell for a similar price and I was thinking about trying a denon.

I will be using separate power amps.

I know the denon can be pro calibrated with the pro kit (which I have) but the onkyo cannot be pro calibrated. This is one of the main reasons why i was interested in the denon. The onkyo 3009 can be pro calibrated but they cost an additional £500 or so.

Also the denon has a preamp mode which can switch off the ampilfer section.

I use it for watching blu rays and occasional sky movies.

Does anyone know which one will be better? Shall I try the denon or just stick to the Onkyo. Will the pro calibration provide a bigger benefit?

    Thanks

Why the choice of those particularly? You can buy a second hand Audiolab 8000AP processor for about £600. Worth a thought!

Well I already have the onkyo 3008. I was just wondering whether denon would be better.

The reason for the denon is because it has audyssey xt32 and it can be pro calibrated. I never really looked into the audio lab.
