Onkyo TX-SR309 will only play DTS-HD and TRUEHD

My setup is a Samsung TV Series 7 connected via HDMI 3(ARC) to the Onkyo TX-SR309 and also an nvidea Shield connected to HDMI BD/DVD.

My problem is an odd one. If i use Plex on the nvidea shield to play DTS-HD or TRUEHD content the sound works fine. Anything else then no sound. This of course means that Netflix and Prime have no sound. Neither does anything from Plex that is not DTS-HD or TRUEHD for example 5.1 DTS or PCM doesnt work

If i use the Netflix or Prime apps on the Samsung TV via ARC then same problem, no sound.

Any ideas?

Page 34 of the manual? Fixed DTS mode?

Perhaps?? (Set to Off to auto detect the incoming stream audio type).
