    Hello all,

I purchased a Onkyo TX-SR309 for Christmas to replace a aging Sony STR-DB940. But I have found a problem when I play certain Blurays namely ones that are DTS.. lucky for me I had the volume turned down and all of a sudden there was these really loud pops that that had me scrambling for the off button.

I have never had this problem with my Sony and just switched out the units.
infact I had never heard of DTS-Bomb until I tried to find out what was going on. I have looked for firmware updates and there are none, I wrote to support but I dont think they can really help this without a firmware update.

should I return the unit to richersounds and try another make/model?
and was my Aegis evos 3s at risk of blowing and subwoofer?

    thanks guys
