Onkyo TX-NR828 Cannot be Controlled by Remote Controller and AVR Switches

Hello,
I have this Onkyo AVR for about 9yrs. Last year I noticed an intermittent problem where I cannot operate the receiver using the remote and through the receiver switches. It comes and go. I can operate the receiver normally using only the Onkyo Remote 3 APP. Until the problem becomes permanent. I have tried the following :

1- Power cycle
2- Resetting both receiver and controller
3- Unplugging all connected cables
4- Checked the matching of receiver and remote codes
5- Disabled network
And lately, had it checked by a technician (not from Onkyo since we don’t have any in Cebu Philippines). They said everything they checked is normal from power supply, switches, etc.

Tried contacting Onkyo but no reply. Hoping anybody here have experienced and solved the same issue or technically knowledgeable about it.
