It is possible, enable ARC in your tv hdmi control in onkyo.

On onkyo, go to settings-hardware-hdmi and turn on „control” If your tv is 2-3ish year old, then hdmi cec and arc should be enabled by default.

One more thing, please make sure hdmi cable from onkyo is plugged into tv’s hdmi input labeled ARC.

I found this (old thread) The Sound from the TV works fine if ARC/eARC HDMI Socket is connected to the TX-NR535 - even if the source comes from either Netflix, Prime Video or a film via USB in the TVs USB Port

I have another TV sitting in the very same room. I dont use them both at the same (or very seldom) the TV connected at the moment is for watching TV, Netflix like explained above.

The 2nd TV is where my Xbox is hosted at (as the first TV is too much lag, but has ambilight for TV and movies).
If I'd now connect the 2nd TV from it's ARC/eARC Buchse to any HDMI Port on the TX-NR535 - would then be able to hear the sound - or has the connection to be ARC to ARC?

I just want to keep my setup as it is, but use the receiver with the 2nd TV and the Xbox Series X connected to it - without having to plug or replug something each time.

Thanks
Patrik
