hi psm1 my amp does not have hdmi or is that a generic term for the capacitors.could you please adviseSounds like you may have the common hdmi fault. You could replace the capacitors yourself and there is a good guide on u tube on how to do it. Otherwise it is a new amp.
thanks psm .in your opinion would you recommend a repair or replacement as its a great amp when working but is getting on a bitDid not clock that your receiver was pre HDMI but issue sounds very similar to the fault experienced on the HDMI boards. This would not be the same for you but may be a similar issue with capacitors getting too hot and failing.

Will cost you £80 or so for someone just to look at it before even repairing it. Since you could get the equivalent current model for around £250 then probably should just buy a new one.
