I bought a set of 12 banana plugs prior to getting the Onkyo and low and behold, they dont fit the speaker posts

Had to struggle like hell to get my bi-wired cables into the crappy screw terminals.

You did remove the small plastic bungs from each of the binding posts? Didn't you?

Well, I've unscrewed one of the red terminals and have it in my hand. There appears to be a a black inner part - cant see how you get that out

Bugger! All I need was a pin!

Banana plugs here I come!

Thanks very much for the reply!

No problem, the easiest way of removing them, is to get a small wood screw and screw it in just enough to grip the plastic, and they will pull out quite easily.

Great thanks very much - I love the power of fourms!

It raises the question - what purpose do the little bungs serve?! Why bother!

Oh please, not health and bloody safety!!!

2 things get me going - health and safety!
- political correctness!

Don't get me started!!

(The screw worked a treat)
