    Hi all

To be honest I am a little new to amps.
I prev had a pretty rubish sony all in one thing.
    Now I've bought a 805 and a 508xd

I'm finding it pretty compicated to be honest.

Currently plugged in I have a
    PS3
    360 Elite
    Wii
    Sky HD
    Ipod dock

Now currently the 360, PS3 and Sky are using HDMI for sound and picture.

Am I better off plugging the Sky and 360 in via optical to get digital sound?
Should I leave the PS3 to hdmi with it supporting TRUE HD.

Any replies would be very helpful as I am a little confused/

Yes - if you don't have an optical connection for Sky HD then you will only ever get 2 channel stereo into the amp and something like dolby pro-logic II output. If you have an optical connection (and change the menu setting in the sky box) then when you are watching a broadcast with the DD symbol on Info screen (Discovery HD, BBC HD, Sky Movies, etc...) your amp will get Dolby Digital sound and will sound much better.
