Onkyo 606 & PS3 HELP!

Hey,

Newbie, so be gentle. I have searched for my issue and I am yet to find it. If it's out there, apologies.

I have my PS3 hooked up to my Onkyo 606 via HDMI. I'm playing a blu-ray and the audio is LPCM so i can hear true HD on my 5.1 system.

The PS3 says it's outputting Dolby True HD, but the amp is only saying not saying 'MULTICH', just PCM, HDMI and 'All Channel Stereo'. This doesn't really sounds like trueHD to me.

I'm at my wits end. Any clues will save me from kicking the cat

You need to select the correct listening mode on the amp, keep pressing the [Movie/TV] button untill i shows 'Multichannel PCM' (whilst playing blu ray on Ps3) Pages 57 & 71 in the manual.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Most appriciated. However, I went through the movie/tv settings and MULTICHA doesn't light up.

Any further suggestions greatfully receieved.

Don't you have a "game" mode as well as the movie/tv button on the 606?

Yes, there is movie/tv, music, game and stereo. I have scrolled through all of these. No joy I'm afraid.

Are all the sound settings on the PS3 correct as per the above mentioned set up thread?
