It seems to me that Nobody is interested in ONkyo and HK products. They seems to be little bit more
expensive than DEnon or Marantz for what they offer.

I remember there use to be a time in AMP (not AV) people will on say Sansui, Techich or at high end QUAd/Mission or Tandberg.

I think people should give consideration to Onkyo especialy.
If you open the unit one will see the quality of material used.

People are mesmerised by Denon and Marantz to some extent
just their price is little bit reasonable.

I had home demontrations of Onkyo before I bought my Denon AVC-11SR.

I bought the Denon because I found it to be more musical than the Onkyo.

    ;)

i have an HK AVR500 receiver. It's unfashionable because it doesn't have any flashing lights and doesn't look as pretty as many of the other units.

However, i didn't buy it for the looks, like some do. I bought it for the quality and the output. Originally, i had my mind set on a Yamaha but it ended up being a toss up Denon and HK and i felt the HK was marginally better than the Denon for music whereas i felt there was nothing in it for sound effects. The Yamaha was not close to those two although it did look a lot smarter.

    I hadn't tried the onkyo.
