Saw this last night, it is truly awesome! Tony Jaa is amazingly agile, some of the editing is sh*te, but its got a low budget. Go watch it now!

I got this film for Xmas, dont ask how, i dont know. What an amazing film. The star is superb. Great fights and a pukka chase scene. I would recommend this film to anyone into martial arts and action films. ++++++

Just got back from seeing the 10:00am screening of "Ong Bak" and I have to concur with the opinions expressed here - Tony Jaa is the mutt's unmentionables.

The flick's a little rough around the edges - as ILoveDts noted, the editing won't be troubling the academy next year, the music score is profoundly cheesy and the script's so bad that you'll be looking for George Lucas' name in the credits - but that's by the by. This movie is about action, and if that's what you want, that's what you'll get.

The fight with the poodle-haired Aussie streetfighter. The Thai boxing match with the Burmese henchmen. The bit where Tony Jaa's running across the heads and shoulders of several hapless stuntmen. The unbelievable final fight. Take your pick - they may be old news to conissieurs of the martial arts genre, but the action scenes in this movie sent my jaw dropping to the floor time and time again.

No wires, no CG tricks - just unbelievable athleticism and displays of physics-subverting genius by Tony Jaa. He makes Jet Li look like Steven Seagal.

Only the VCD has English subtitles though. So the pre-order from play.com is to still the one to go for.
