Having purchased the Panasonic from AV-Sales (very good service) with the JS VGA box.

I have the component board in one of the slots (not used until I get the amp). If I want to add a PC, do I just buy another VGA board?

I'm now looking at speaker options to go with a Denon 3805:

I'd like a bookshelf for the front left and right and a small speaker for the rear and front centre. Is it possible without screwing up the sound or do I need the same front centre (or same rears as well).

Any opinions? Now looking to spend between £500 (would be nice) and £1200.

    Cheers

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

Yep...you can just add another VGA inout into one of your free slots.

I'm no expert on speakers, or anything really , but I think you are best sticking to the same make/range of speakers for the fronts.

Probably best to ask in the speakers forum.

    Cheers, Lee

Would a DVI board be better or are there some 'issues' with the Panny and DVI ?

It depends on what you want to use it for.

If it's just for browsing the Internet then DVI would be fine and should give you a clearer/sharper image.

But if you want to use it as a HTPC then you might be better with VGA.

The reason being that the DVI input only really likes working at 60Hz which can cause trouble when trying to playback PAL 50Hz material.

    Cheers, Lee

    Thanks everyone for the advice

Nothing is ever straight forward :)

I have no intention of going the HTPC route. So should I buy a DVI board and if so, do I need to convert or is it a simple lead?

I take it we have no speaker advice for me? We'll possibly go with Kef, Infinity or B&W in the relevant price range....

I had seen a DVI - Component adaptor mentioned someplace which could be an option as well ...
