My 5 year old has managed to put her foot through a pane of glass so we are currently sitting in A&E. Need to get it checked to make sure there is no other glass in it, but I don't think there is, and get it closed. So while we are waiting, I've got Jack a new hat... He's still wearing it now, been about 30mins.... Luckily no one had puked in it first....

I hate hospitals you have to wait hours before you are seen.
@shodan i hope you don't have to wait too long.

Not from what I have seen in my visits over the last few years. The NHS urge the public to switch to healthier lifestyles - most of the nursing staff I have seen over the years are not a great advert for that - the doctors seem to look after themselves though.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Southend A&E, my friend is the manager there, by all accounts he is doing a good job, should be pretty quick for you.

Please tell your friends that we were done in about 2 hours, triage was quick and effective and the nurse (jacqueline) who treated Eve was great and eased her nervousness. Many thanks to them all!

After my stay in hospital the other week I must just say that most of the nurses were not the best looking, but the one looking after me was lovely , we had quite a giggle aswell...Sadly the flirtatiousness was all ruined at the point of her having to remove my catheter :(

Tried the same when having an STD test. Worst thing about it was her holding my .... with her forefinger & thumb, just to reiterate the fact it wasn't going to happen lol
